The Porcupine Mountains, also known as The Porkies, is a mountain range spanning the Upper Peninsula of Michigan into Canada surrounding Lake Superior.

Downhill skiing & snowboarding, snowshoeing, fat tire biking, and cross-country skiing are all activities that you can do at The Porkies Winter Sports Complex.

Friday-Monday 9am-5pm EST during the season.

  • Lift ticket full day: $45

  • It is FREE to use these trails, all that is needed is a Recreation Passport

The Mountain

Important Information 

  • Outside food and drink is allowed 
  • The mountain is staffed and maintained by the DNR 
  • There is one restaurant there that serves food

  • Keep in mind that the The Porkies recreation/ ski area is also called The Porkies Winter Sports Complex
